Whether you are moving to Georgia, from Georgia, or are a realtor conducting business for a property in Georgia, make sure you check the qualifications of the person you hire to inspect your home.
The Georgia Association of Home Inspectors, GAHI, was created to fill the void of no license requirements in the state. Make sure your inspector is either a member of GAHI, another inspector organization, or carries a home inspector license in another state. For example, many home inspectors conducting business in Northwest Georgia carry a Tennessee home inspector license.
Inspect your inspector’s certification before letting him/her inspect your home.
